FAMILY NEWS & UPDATES
Bloomfest 2015 in Curwensville was a total success. About 150 people were present at the Curwensville Comunity Center on Friday for the meet and greet, and over 200 attended at Irvin Park. A great vote of thanks to Chrissie VanTol for organizing and engineering the whole affair.
Photos were taken on Saturday and may be purchased at Shutterfly.com. Sign in with Bloomfest2015@yahoo.com and use the password Bloomfest.

New photos in Military/Police Veterans, and A Garden of Blooms
For those who are following the military and police veterans photo page you will notice that a military veteran has been added whose sur name many will not recognize. So a note of explanation is in order.
Ralph Sheldon Mays is decended within the Bloom family through Peter Mays who married Eva "Effie" Bloom, the daughter of John R Bloom. John was one of William Bloom's sons. The photo and information was obtained through my contact with William Mays, Ralph's son. William Mays resides in Florida and attended the family reunion this summer in Clearfield.
In talking with my cousins, Ginna and Kathy, it was pointed out that their mother's name should have been written as Marjorie Virginia Bloom instead of Virginia Marjorie. (Chapter 23) In going back through my research I see that they are correct. If I were writing that chapter today I would have referred to her as Marjorie Virginia.
